What we do
In the developed nations if a crisis develops within a family, access to savings or credit will usually help us navigate our way back to a place of safety. The poor have no such safety net. They rarely have savings and can’t usually access credit. A crisis for the poor can render an entire family homeless.
Ending the cycle – In situations where parents cannot read or write then the value of education is not always appreciated. Yet in the longer term this is a key way to break the cycle of poverty in which many of the poor have been trapped for generation
Restoring hope… building family and community. A family that struggles each day to provide food for its children can struggle to find vision for their lives. In turn they begin to be defined by what is not possible, rather than by what can be done.
